Frequently Asked Questions
What is an IPA?
IPA stands for India Pale Ale – a hop-forward beer style known for its bold aromas, higher bitterness, and often higher ABV compared to pale ales.
What does an IPA taste like?
Depends on the style, but expect big hop flavour! Think mango, grapefruit, pine, citrus, stone fruit or dank herbal notes. Some are sweet and juicy, others dry and bitter.
What’s the difference between Hazy IPA, West Coast IPA, and others?
- Hazy (or New England) IPAs are soft, juicy, and low in bitterness
- West Coast IPAs are clear, crisp, and piney with a bold bitter finish
- Double IPAs crank up the ABV and hop intensity
We love brewing them all.
What food pairs well with IPAs?
Try IPAs with:
- Spicy foods – hops cool the heat and enhance flavour
- Burgers and fried food – bold beers meet bold bites
- Sharp cheeses – cheddar, stilton, or blue
Are your IPAs vegan?
Yes! Every IPA we brew is 100% vegan – no animal products, no nonsense.
Where can I buy Vibrant Forest IPAs?
Shop online right here, visit us at the taproom, or find us in top-notch craft beer retailers across the UK.
Are IPAs always strong?
Not always. Session IPAs are lighter (3.5-4.5%), while doubles and imperials can hit 8%+. We brew a mix, so you’ll always find one that suits your vibe.
Do IPAs age well?
Nope – drink ‘em fresh! Hop flavours fade over time, so it’s best to enjoy IPAs within a few weeks of canning for peak punch.
