Frequently Asked Questions
How long do your sauces last?
All our sauces have a 12-month shelf life from bottling. Once opened, keep them refrigerated and use within 8 weeks for the best flavour.
Are your sauces very hot?
Not all of them! We make a range from mild and flavourful to fiery and intense, so there’s something for every palate. Each sauce is carefully balanced to let the chillies’ natural flavour shine — not just the heat.
What chillies do you grow at the brewery?
We grow a wide range of chillies in the yard and greenhouse — from basket of fire and birds eye to habaneros and superhots such as primotalli and 7 pot primo. We have to buy in chipotles due to the specialist processing dried jalapenos go through.
Are your sauces vegan and gluten free?
Yes, every sauce is 100% vegan and gluten free, made with simple, natural ingredients.
Do you use additives or preservatives?
We don’t add any artificial flavours or unnecessary chemicals.
Some natural ingredients, like lemon juice and tomato purée, contain trace amounts of potassium metabisulphite and citric acid — both naturally derived and commonly used to keep food fresh and stable.
Where are the sauces made?
All our sauces are handmade at Vibrant Forest Brewery in the heart of the New Forest. We grow most of our chillies on-site and make everything in small batches to ensure the best quality and flavour.
What’s the best way to use your sauces?
Anywhere you want a hit of flavour! Splash them on tacos, drizzle over pizza, stir into soups or stews, or mix with mayo for a quick dip. Each bottle is crafted to enhance your food, not overpower it.
Can I visit the brewery to buy them?
Absolutely! You can pick up our sauces directly from our Taproom in Hardley, Hampshire. Come for the beer, stay for the sauce — we’ve usually got a few bottles open for you to try.
What if I can’t handle too much heat?
No problem! We make a range from mild and fruity to seriously hot, so you can start where you’re comfortable and work your way up. Flavour always comes first.
