The Bao Beast has been a long time in the making, but David and his wife Rachel finally took the plunge and have not looked back since!

The dream began straight after David gave up his job of 20 years to follow his passion for creating food! David, aka, The Bao Beast, offers the most delectable Asian fusion cuisine, and together they spread his love of food at events, festivals and weddings around the UK.

David’s knowledge of flavours and textures shows in his creatively diverse menu where years of experimentation in the kitchen have finally come to fruition.

Growing up, David spent endless hours cooking with his mother, Sylvia, where he learnt the skill of traditional Asian cuisine. As a young lad, he devoured these dishes packed full of exotic spices and quickly grasped the critical balance of flavour.

The family's passion for food started in Singapore where Sylvia was born and raised with her mother, Ranzambe, who is of Indian-Chinese descent. The art of Asian cooking was installed from an early age, and luckily for David, this passion for cooking was passed down to him.
