COMEDY NIGHT - 27th December
Headline Act: Maureen Younger (headshot attached)
Short Bio:
Maureen is frank, fast, feisty, sharp and engaging – honest humour with attitude!
In 2023 Maureen reached the finals of British Comedian of the Year and was placed third. In 2024 she was one of the acts performing at the Best of British Showcase at the Adelaide Comedy Festival.
Maureen works as a stand-up comedian all around the UK and abroad and is a regular face at all the major UK Comedy Clubs. Maureen is known for her quick wit and sharp audience interaction. In the UK she is one of the few (if only) comedians who performs regularly at mainstream, urban, gay and Asian comedy nights. Maureen has also gigged in German and French!
Her gigs have ranged from being the support act for comedians such as Frankie Boyle and Jen Brister and for the entire West End run of The Naked Magicians at the Trafalgar Studios as well as one of the warm up acts for Puppetry of the Penis to performing at the Barbican alongside Arthur Smith; supporting Shazia Mirza on tour; to being one of the acts at the Jamaica vs The World gigs at the Shepherds Bush Empire. (Maureen was representing the latter category!)
''If you have been lucky enough to see her perform you will be fully aware of just how funny and infectious this women is'' - Time Out
Opening Act: Julian Deane (headshot attached)
Short Bio:
Julian Deane is a talented stand-up comedian and has been wowing audiences across the country with his genius punch lines and perfect delivery.
Julian has performed on The Russell Howard Hour (SKY) and supported Paul Chowdhry on his mammoth nationwide tour Live Innit, which included a sold out Wembley arena date.
His witty writing skills have also been put to use, with writing credits including Jimmy Carr, Mock the Week (BBC 2), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), Unspun with Matt Forde (Dave) and Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia (SKY Atlantic). “Deliciously twisted. a stream of seriously good gags. quick, sharply written and endlessly repeatable lines.” - The Guardian
Middle Act: Will Hannigan (headshot attached)
Short Bio:
When Will Hannigan began doing stand-up comedy at the age of 18, he began touring all throughout Canada. On stage, he is known for giving off a powerful conversational presence.
He discusses his family, his career, his experiences with alcoholism, and his journey back from it all. He has performed at the Grindstone Comedy Festival and the Just For Laughs NorthWest Festival. With a style that covers university humour, relationships, and of course, edgy and dark material, catch this rising comedian!
